Since her triumphant debut at the 2013 Salzburg Festival as Abigaille in Nabucco under the baton of Riccardo Muti, Anna Pirozzi has been considered one of the leading sopranos of the Italian dramatic repertory.
In 2016 she made her house debuts at the Teatro alla Scala (Lucrezia Contarini in I due Foscari), the Bavarian State Opera Munich (Amelia in Un ballo in maschera), the Royal Opera House Covent Garden (Leonora in Il trovatore) and the San Francisco Opera (Maddalena in Andrea Chénier).
Highlights in 2017 include her debuts at the Teatro Real Madrid as Lady Macbeth in Macbeth alongside Plácido Domingo, her role debut as Turandot with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Zubin Mehta and Abigaille at the Teatro alla Scala.

Anna Pirozzi will be back in Palermo as Lady in Verdi's Macbeth in January 2017. The new production by Emma Dante will be conducted by Gabriele Ferro. Anna made her debut at the Teatro Massimo in 2013 as Abigaille in Nabucco.

Nabucco in Monte-Carlo
In November 2016 Anna Pirozzi will make her debut at the Monte-Carlo Opera, singing her signature role Abigaille in Nabucco. The stellar cast also includes Leo Nucci in the title role, Béatrice Uria-Monzon as Fenena, Gaston Rivero as Ismaele and Vitalij Kowaljow as Zaccaria. Giuseppe Finzi will conduct, the production is by Leo Muscato.

Dear Friends, it is with immense joy that I announce to you that I am with child; the baby is due in April, and I will regretfully have to withdraw from the productions of La Wally in Piacenza, Reggio Emilia and Modena, Nabucco in Stuttgart, and Norma in Verona.
